Gungear: Enhanced Mech Armor
The Gard Headquarters. Home to many of the finest Gungear Users in the galaxy. Stationed between Earth and Mars, they are the only defense force left to stand against Mark, a group of terrorist like people who wish to see Gard fall. Their leader, Black Rose, wants nothing more than to rule it all. Our story begins with our hero, Travis Makar, Twenty Three. He had blonde hair, purple eyes and stood near Six feet tall. However he was skipping his training session.
"Almost there." He whispered, trying to sneak around the halls and aim for the recreation room. He turned a corner and bumped into OmegaV, his Android. She wore a blue and white outfit with a metal collar that sported the Omega Symbol. Two small drones hovered behind her shoulders. She looked at Travis with green eyes, brushing her light brown hair. Travis was stunned.
"O-OmegaV?! What-" He was interrupted when Omega spoke.
"Interrupt: Travis Makar. You are to report to the training grounds immediately, before The Director finds you again." She frowned at his actions, pulling up a small Holo-interface in front of her. She marks off on the calendar as she continued.
"Reminder: Last time, you had to train for two hours instead of one for ditching it." Travis had no choice. He had to follow her to the training grounds.
Travis walked over to the training ground, already in progress of a war game. The environment this time was 'Urban'. OmegaV directed Travis to the weapon rack to get ready.
"Mission: You have to train for at least Thirty Minutes today. No less." Omega scolded Travis once more, as he activated the Valkyrian Mode. From the rifle, armor started to form. Fan blades from his back, leg guards and arm guards covered his vital areas. A neck collar and visor finally appeared. He was ready to enter.
Once he stepped in the War Game, his armor color changed to Blue, showing his team color. He rushed over to his team's base to get started.
Up in the command room, OmegaV begun to take notes on Travis's actions, mostly to balance his diet and see what vitamins he required. But something was itching her. She turned to the lead director of all Gungear Technology, Gorge Sikahn. He wore the long white traditional Lab Coat. Short green hair and blue eyes while wearing a Necklace in the shape of a drill.
"Apology: Sorry to bother you, Gorge Sikahn. I wanted to know how Travis got involved in Gard?" She asked, the first time in her two months of watching him. Gorge put his Tablet down, sighing.
"You see... Travis Makar is the younger sibling of our first Gungear User, Alice. When we broke the news to him years ago, he said he wanted to replace his sister and continue her legacy. However, when we told him he had to be Twenty One, he promised to meet us and- Wait hold on!" He caught out of the corner of his eye, Travis who seemed to of sprained his ankle. He pushed the emergency shut off, turning gravity on to help lower everyone in the air. The Gungears changed back into pistol form and the entire area was cleared of the Urban setting. Two medics ran out to help carry him to the resting bay. Omega was worried and rushed to his side. Travis was easing his pain by breathing hard.
"Shocked: Travis Makar, What happened?" Travis smiled at Omega who was worried about him. He explained.
"I accidentally twisted my ankle. A pothole in Grid X14 Y20 should not of been there. It's nothing big." He forced a smile from his pain. The medics simply put a brace to keep it straight. OmegaV signaled to the Medics that she was capable of taking him back to his room. She signaled her Shoulder Drones to make a small hover stretcher for him. Omega guided it to the elevator and ended up in the living quarters of all trainees. There was a note on his room with a keycard, a blue strip blue and white background. She read it out loud.
"Reading: Travis Makar, you are to be moved up into the Division Commons with your new trainer, Master Minzaio. -The Director."
Travis heard that name and nearly got off the stretcher.
"Wait? THE Minzaio? The Melee Gungear User, Ronin Model X Minzaio?!" Omega nodded to his statement, starting her trip to the fifth level of the base. Travis could not help but grin. Omega walked down the bright hallway, red carpet and white walls guided them down the hall. Doors were spread out more, due to how big the rooms are. Omega found the new room, opening it with her spare card.
"Introduction: Welcome to Division Common Room Number 509." she opened the door, showing the room to Travis from the stretcher. He was shocked. The glass window had the perfect view of Mars, paining wall to wall. The bed was big enough to hold two people, with a night table on each side. There was a separate room for dining, media and a bathroom. The theme of the room was very Old Vegas inspired from the MGM Grant Sweets in color and atmosphere. Two wide wall TVs and many of Travis's items. His clothing already moved and placed in the dresser. There was a small table in front of the Television for his bedroom, on it was a schedule for when his teacher would come.
"Error: He is coming in three hours, and you have a sprained Ankle." Omega said, guiding her drones to let him rest on his new bed. Travis shook his head.
"That's fine, I will train with a sprain. It's- GAH!" He tried to stand up but the pain stunned his movement once more. OmegaV sighed, dispensing a pain killer from one of her shoulder drones. She put it in Travis's hand.
"Instructions: Please swallow this and take a rest. I shall be conserving my energy till Master Minzaio comes." Travis sighed, already ingesting the pill.
He felt bored so he turned the wide TV on to watch his favorite channel. He noticed it was in high definition. Omega looked over at Travis, asking from a distance.
"Question: Why is Saturday so special to humans?"
Travis heard her question, and answered with "Well, Saturday is a day we all have fun and party till we can not anymore. Why?" But she asked another question...
"Question: What is fun?"
Travis was stuck. He thought hard and came up with his own answer. "W-well. An example of fun is when people are playing a game, or relaxing, or talking, or eating. Fun is where you enjoy doing what you do the most."
Omega asked another question.
"Question: Am I fun?" and Travis nearly fell on his injury.
"Well I do not know yet. We can have fun when I feel better." he offered, seeing Omega smile lightly.
"Compliment: Thank you, Travis. You are truly nice."
Master Minzaio soon entered the room with a very deep voice.
"Travis Makar, I heard you sprained your Ankle during training?" he did not sound impressed. Travis explained his side.
"You see. It was an accident. Plus I am fine." Travis tried to get on his foot again, feeling the surge of pain once more. Minzaio sighed.
"The first rule of using a Gungear is to make sure you are in top condition. If there is any damage on your body, It will hinder your performance. They are not like the damn mecha animations you so love to watch." Minzaio stood near seven feet tall. He had a short haired black beard, his right eye was pure white as opposed to his brown on the left. His long black hair tied in a ponytail. He placed his Gungear, which was modeled to look like a Longsword, on the table.
"Travis. You are truly in no condition to train physically today. But we can begin on the mental." Minzaio hopped on his bed, crossing his legs. Travis scoffed.
"Mental training? Isn't the whole point of a Gungear just training the body?" This question sparked Minzaio's bad chord.
"I am not surprised you think like this, Travis. However, the true strength is a mixture of Physical and Mental. Without either, you are nothing but another meat shield for the grave." Minzaio was showing much concern over his new student. He added...
"First, you must relax the mind. Then think of what makes you happy the most. It can be a person, it can be an object, it can be anything that makes you happy. This is the first step to being a great Gungear user. Take what you hold most and do not wake till you fully understand."
Travis was absorbed in this training. Minzaio looked over at Omega who was working out a new schedule for Travis. He felt something different from the other androids. "Excuse me. Would you mind telling me your name?" Minzaio asked Omega who stood up. She bowed to him and presented herself "Self Introduction: I am OmegaV. Person Android Assistant to Travis Makar. My hobbies are to help Travis remember important events, schedule important dates as well as monitor his health and well being." Minzaio smiled and laughed lightly.
"I see that Travis programmed you to act more human?" he was on target. Omega looked at Travis. Her eyes set on his meditating state.
"Memory: Travis told me that if anyone asked for my name, I had to respond with more than that. He also explained to me why Saturday was important, as well as the meaning of 'Fun'. Unlike my siblings, I feel like I want to know more about Humans." she placed a hand over her chest, as if she had a heart. Minzaio saw the action and gave her a short speech.
"You are a very special Android, Omega. Travis may not look pleased from time to time, but I bet he does care about you more than anyone. It's like my old Android... Ronin #10." he got up form the bed, over to where his Gungear was... and showed her the Gear as a short blade.
"Even after Ronin was fully shut off, I had to keep him close to me. A bond between a human and machine may seem kind of odd... But Ronin here saves my life every day." Omega was at a loss of words. She looked over at Travis once more, asking...
"Question: If I am shut off... Would Travis still take me?" her eyes emoting a crying woman. Sadly, she lacked tears.
"That question is something you will have to ask him. You have the heart that other Androids fail to process. Ask him, and see..." Minzaio opened the door and left the room, leaving Omega and the meditating Travis alone.
Omega looked around the room, feeling the need to reorganized. Travis was taking longer than normal. Immediately, she noticed the bookshelf was full of information and stories. She rearranged with Information on top. From 1 to Z. She did the same for stories. One book fell out. It was a flat tablet with the name of the book on the back.
"Curious: The Giving Tree?" she asked herself, turning the tablet on. She began to read, feeling awkward to read a book for children. She did not like how the tree was 'alive'. That is.... Till she started reading deeper. She felt sorry for the boy at first.... then the tree. The tree kept giving to the boy and the boy gave nothing in return. She felt very angry but from how it was written, the tree was happy. Even after the branches were cut and even after she was cut down... The tree was still happy. Omega could not keep a straight face. She showed much sadness in her eyes. The words and pictures were heavy. That is, till the boy came back as an old man. She read the last few lines, her sadness building till she read the line... "I do not need much now, just a quiet place to sit and rest.". At that moment, Omega was bleeding some sort of sealant from her eyes. It looked like tears from afar, but Omega was overwhelmed.
"Error: H-how can a human write something so..." Omega was unable to process her words. She trembled and sobbed in a mix reaction. She held the tablet close, showing the cover once more.
Travis heard her sobbing, turning over.
"Omega! Are you-" He caught a glimpse of the cover. He smiled at her. "Omega. I guess you just read The Giving Tree? It's really old but it stands to this day as a book I love."
OmegaV looked upon him, shaking her head. "Question: Why do you love it?" her sealant now stopping. Travis patted his bed for her to sit on.
"Well, The tree is my mother. The boy is me. That is how I see it. My mother can give and give, and if I am happy, then she is happy too..." His tone started to lower near the end. Omega looked at the tablet, putting it on the table.
"Request: Could you tell me about your mother, and how you came to Gard?"
Travis looked around, but fell back on his bed. Sighing and starting the story from long ago....
3 Years Earlier....
In a small city on Mars, far from the Grand City of 'Shalla'. A slightly younger Travis was home, Cleaning the dishes. The doorbell rang.
"I will be there soon!" he yelled out, putting his gloves down and running to the door. Upon opening, he noticed the creator of the Gungears, Gorge Sikahn, standing there with a black and white band wrapped around his upper shoulder. Two other troops stood there, behind him.
"Is Ms.Makar in?" He asked, his tone showing some form of pain. Travis looked behind him.
"No, my mother left a few minutes ago..."
Gorge could not hold the tears back. He turned around, and back to Travis. In his hands, was an image of his sister, Alice Makar. She had bright blue eyes and very sandy yellow hair. She was lightly smiling in the image. In the corners were black stripes.
"I am deeply sorry. During a scouting mission past Pluto...We lost contact with Alice Makar. We could not find anything. No body, not even her Gungear. I am truly sorry to say that she... Is dead. We searched for over two months. Nothing turned up and The Director considered her 'Killed in Action'."
Travis's eyes widen and started to tear. He fell to his knees. Gorge put a light hand on his left shoulder.
"I know it's painful, but-" Travis got, fury in his eyes.
"Tell the director, I will be enlisting after my Twenty First birthday. I will replace my sister and find whoever killed her. I swear it. And no one will stop me!" Gorge was surprised. He only bowed lightly, taking his leave from his home.
Later, Travis broke the news to his mother. She took it hard as well. He also explained that he wishes to join Mark once he was of age....
"And my mother told me. If that is your choice, and you are happy. Then I will be too. Your sister loved what she did till the end. Like brother like sister." Travis looked over at Omega, who looked like she was about to cry again.
"HEY! It was over three years ago. No need to cry now." Omega looked up, trying to clean up the sealant.
"Acknowledgment and Instructions: Okay. But Travis, you have another two days till you can train once more. Until then, NO dangerous activities." Her mood quickly changed, already marking down calendar events. Travis groaned, leaning back on his new bed. Then, an idea!
"S-say Omega? Do you think we can head down to Mars now and have fun? I swear that there will be nothing there to injure my foot further." Omega lit up and checked his schedule. Her expression changed when she noticed that there was a scheduled meal in thirty minutes.
"Denied: I am sorry, but you have a scheduled meal coming up." Travis turned over and put a hand over her wrist.
"Screw it. I want to show you how humans have fun." He immediately took a small hover pad for his sprained ankle to lay off the ground. It would fit under his shoe.
Somewhere on Pluto. In the depths on a secret base... A female resting on a makeshift throne made from metal plates looked upon the troops she was watching below in a training pit. She stood up and spread her arms out, giant metal bracers covered her forearms. She wore black metal combat boots, dark green pants, a Gauze made chest cover that only kept her small breasts hidden, and a long green cape with spiky ends and black on the reverse. She brushed her long Purple hair with black highlights that looked like flames down reaching the midsection of her back. She announced "That will be it for training. Now get to looking around for a base closer to Gard!" pointing her arm to the exit.
They all saluted in unison, crying out "YES, BLACK ROSE!" and leaving as soon as they could.
Just then, her head scientist appeared. He had a one lenses Goggle, wearing olive green and sporting a box on his back which was his Gungear.
"Black Rose. Our scouts found a great spot to set up a post on Saturn. We can get to work now and have it up by the end of the wee-" His voice was very squeaky till Black Rose grabbed his neck and pulled him to her green eyes.
"You have three days to make a post! Otherwise I will have some fun making you scream once more!" she dropped him on his ass, looking back at a map.
"The outpost will prove vital to securing a very important spot in the war against Gard."
On Mars, Travis was showing OmegaV around the city. As an android built in the headquarters, Omega was taken by the sights alone.
"Question: So this is Shalla? City of Mars. The second New York of old combined with the lifestyle of Vegas." Travis listened to her words, however he did not like how she always tag on what kind of sentence comes from her mouth. He pulled up a small pad, instructing Omega to open one of her ports from the back of her neck. She complied and with some recoding...
"Alright, try to say something." Travis instructed her, Omega now able to speak without the use of such trivial expressions.
"Hello. What did you do exactly?" Omega tilted her head to the side, as if she had no idea she was expressing her words before. Travis shrugged and continued with the tour. He guided Omega to one of the three great gaming buildings connected to each other. Inside were machines with much sound and action going on. Some were like cabinets, others were low and had a seat. Omega took her time to examine every kind of game. Some were fighting games, others were driving. The one that did catch her programing was an old puzzle game that was about making rows for points and trying not to reach the top.
"Travis? What exactly is this game?" her eyes attracted to the simplicity of it.
"Well, it's a very old stacking game. You have to make complete rows of blocks to get points all while avoiding the top. I can barely do it." Travis admitted but put some credits I it for her to enjoy.
Right off the start, Omega started to make a few weird placements, stacking till halfway up. Then she started to rack up the points. Every row was getting demolished till it reached only the third level. The next few blocks came, and still she was able to clear them with ease. At random times, she would clear the entire field and start anew. The points were escalating but after thirty minutes, Travis asked her "Are you done?"
Omega replied "Negative! I must reach the highest score possible and finish the mission." Her eyes so determined to not only go past the cap of 999,999,999 but willing to break the machine in the process.
"You already have! It can not go higher than what is on the score!" Travis was just shocked as to how she could get that high with no problems. She eventually let the blocks reach the top for once, turning around and smiling at Travis.
"Then my mission was a success." Omega smiled over it. Travis did not look amused as to how she did it. Soon, Omega received a call from The Director.
"Travis, The Director wants you to report to the briefing room on the station now." she repeated his message while pulling Travis through the crowd and on the transport.
Travis rushed over to the briefing room, seeing not only Gorge Shikahn but three others with Gungears and wearing a latex like armor that was black with silver stripes.
Gorge noticed Travis and fixed his glasses.
"Glad you can make it. I wish to introduce you to the three members of Division Five." A girl with short brown hair turned and introduced herself.
"I am Roxine Serra. Leader of this division and proud to see another member join our group. I am the user of my Gungear, Alteria." she shook his hand firmly. Travis chuckled at her before the next person approached. It was a man who looked similar in build to Travis but he had medium short black hair. He smiled and patted Travis's back. "I am Roland Darion. The man with amazing aim! My Gungear is named The Lombardi after the greatest man, Vince Lombardi. Good to have you fight with us!" Travis nearly lost his balance. He then saw a very big man in the corner with long blue hair reaching past his shoulders, keeping quiet. Roxine looked over Travis's shoulder and explained.
"That is Zalgenis. He is our heavy weapons and probably the only Gungear user who's main weapon is a Minigun. Of course he mostly rams them into our enemies cause he is that strong." she flexed her muscles as if he was telling Travis that he lifts weights a lot. Zalgenis looked over at Travis, nodding instead of shaking his hand. Gorge coughed and directed their attention to the big screen and holo-map. A voice came from the Monitor, shrouding a man in a black silhouette.
"Good afternoon, Division Five. Our sources detected Mark activity over near the Middle Section on Saturn. It looks as if they are trying to build an outpost to make a sneak attack. At the moment, I want you four to go out and monitor their movement. Capture audio recording and take pictures. If you are spotted, you are to report back immediately. This mission is only a scouting mission." It was indeed The Director. He would never show his face to anyone. Travis raised his hand and asked him "Will I be given a default Gungear for the moment?"
Gorge handed Travis a rifle Gungear, possibly the Valkyrian model.
"This is good practice for you as well, Travis. We have yet to make your own Custom Model. Now you are all to leave in thirty minutes. Gear up." the monitor turned off, lighting the room once more. Roxine signaled Travis with her to the gearing bay.
The gearing bay held many different Gungears and vehicles as well as portable bases. A drop ship was ready for them, Zalgenis and Roland were prepared ahead of time, waiting for the others. Travis picked up a special camera to take pictures as Roxine grabbed an audio recording device as well as cloaking field. Omega walked up to Travis.
"Please be careful, Travis. Saturn's atmosphere makes it hard to eat anything solid. Bring water and soup for this trip." she handed over a giant tank full of vegetable soup specially made for the harsh environment and full of the desired minerals he required. Roxine smirked and made a remark.
"It looks like your 'Wife' knows much about your health." Travis looked at Roxine, bushing. Omega walked away, hiding her face.
"Let's just get this over with. I heard we are going to scout for a good fifteen hours." Travis left the comment on the side, jumping on the transport ship with the others. The doors closed and off they went. The scent of the soup attracted Zalgenis, looking at Travis. In a low and soft voice he asked "Is that Vegetable soup?" Travis nodding.
"I remember my first mission too. My assistant gave me the exact tank full of it. Despite our technology and advance food, that soup has saved many on the hardest terrain in the solar system. One mission to Neptune would of killed me if it wasn't for the fact I had that soup. I used half of it to heat my body and push me through the cold. When I finally returned to the carrier, on board I took a sip to remember that moment forever. I may sound odd but you should drink a cup of that stuff once we touched down on Saturn. Seeing how your android made it, she must of put enough minerals to keep you full for hours." Roxine and Roland as well smelt it.
"It smells better than my mother." Roland commented, almost begging for a cup inside the ship.
"Yeah. Your PAA must have been built with the 'Chef' addon. Very few models have it." She smiled to Travis, as if he was lucky. He chuckled "Well she acts like a wife. Her cooking is better than the Cafe."
The group would talk for a good fifty minutes before they entered the airspace of Saturn. The driver explained "Okay! We are near the drop point. Leave a beacon on the ground as a sign to pick you up at this spot! I will circle the planet space while you take all the images you like!" as each of them activated their Gungear. They had to limit their armor to hide better in the cloaking field. Visors covered their eyes, and small armor patches in vital areas covered what is fatal. Roxine activated the cloaking device, able to spot the group of Mark troops building a makeshift base.
"HURRY WITH THE SHELTER! Saturn tends to get misty around this time and Black Rose will have our asses if it is not done by her arrival! MOVE IT!" One female stood out from the other troops. Her armor was clad in black and green, formed to look like a viper snake. Her visor detailed two red eyes as if she was a snake with two jet propulsion units on her back. A metal tail protruded from the back, her gauntlets fill of spikes and her gun looked like a modified long rifle with an automatic setting. Travis started to put two and two together.
"The leader looks like a corrosive fighter. Judging from the gun, she has accuracy over spread." he whispered to the others, Roxine repeating what the leader said in her own words.
"Black Rose? If she is coming here, we might have to pull out immediately. For now, keep yourselves hidden and quiet." The others nodded, using anti sonar and sound detection devices in case they tried to find intruders.
Travis took the time to taste some of the soup, smiling and seemingly full from one cup.
"Omega can really cook well." He thought to himself, bringing the binoculars to his eyes once more. He spotted the leader speaking on a radio device, nudging Roxine to capture the voice.
"Yes Black Rose. I understand fully. But are you- oh. Now?! B-but we only finished half! This is- Sorry! I'm sorry... We will prepare for your arrival." Roxine took note and warned them all "Black Rose is coming in too soon. We have to get out!" she turned off her device, starting her beacon for the pilot to pick them up. However, the mist started to kick in and it reduced vision from all around. Roland pulled up his HUD and commented "We have to wait a minute for the mist to settle down. Then we can activate it once... more..." but as it calmed, Mark troops had them surrounded.
"Gard Scum should stay out of our business." the leader walked up as if she was on a runway, her gun aimed at the four. She grinned with fangs showing. She wanted to fire the gun.
"I am Lieutenant Krittara, or you can call me 'Viper'." She introduced herself. Krittara pointed in the distance at the drop ship touching down. On it was four Elite Guards and in between them was the leader, Black Rose. Her entire body was covered in black armor that mirrored rose petals. She sported two spikes from the sides of her head and the visor over her eyes, concealing her eye color. Her hair was braided into a single tail. Wing parts along her arms, legs and back made her agile. She approached the four intruders.
"My my my... Look what the snake manage to catch. Good work Viper." her smile was creepy and uneasy to look at. She took her whip out and inspected each one, stopping at Travis. She knelt down to him and chuckled.
"You are cute, young one. Tell me your name." at that moment, Travis spat on her cheek. She laughed hard and held her face. "I guess that is a kiss. But nevertheless, who are you?" she asked once more.
"I am Travis Makar." he looked at his allies and asked "Please let them go. You can take me as prisoner if you so wish..." Roxine denying his order "I will not let you get captured-" Rose stopped her mid sentence. She signaled her troops to push them on their beacon as Rose guided her troops to bring Travis inside. Her intention soon revealed. Roxine had to call the ship once more, leaving Travis behind and fearing he could be lost.
"Y-your not leaving him there, right?" Roland asked, worried about him. Roxine shook her head "I never leave a man behind, but we need more troops to retrieve Travis. For now, I doubt she would harm him..."
Travis, hands tied behind his back, was put in a lone chair. Black Rose signaled her troops to leave with his Gungear. He was not stripped of all weapons. Travis broke the ice "What do you want from me?" Black Rose smirked. She pulled another chair in front of him, removing her visor and armor to sit with ease. Her green eyes exposed to him.
"I just wish to tell you something about your sister..." her evil grin showing. Rose picked up the Gungear, which was the exact model of his sister's. She continued "I remembered it like yesterday. She was stupid enough to cross our base of operation on some weird mission. Normally, I would let her pass but the Gungear she had changed my judgment. So I had my troops take her in the base. I lost two men but it was all worth it. I hacked her Gungear and reprogrammed the armor and colors. Pink and Red are so lame. But after that, I had my fun with her." Rose moved closer to Travis, looking into his eyes "I tortured her till she could no longer move. She gave me information that was useful in building my army and helped give me an edge. You can say I killed your sister, sweetheart." her smile made Travis react. He snapped at her "You bitch! How dare you kill my sister!" but he was soon restrained by a small shock collar on his neck that so happened to be there.
"Oh no my doggy. You and I will have fun as well..." She got closer to his face. "And this fun may make you join us." she forced her lips on Travis's, attempting to kiss him. Travis knew he had to do something. So with one open shot, he spat into her mouth. She backed away, coughing and now angered.
"How DARE you spit in my mouth! You little bastard!" She turned the voltage on the collar, giving him a good shock to knock him out. She spat out what was in her throat, calling for Wasabi to make a message for Gard and rinse her mouth out. "Smug little asshole..."
In the Briefing room, they received a call from Black Rose. The Director played the message to Division Five and staff members. Omega was there as well.
"This is Black Rose of the Mark Empire! I have in my grasp Travis Makar. We know he is the younger brother of the famous Alice Makar that I killed. If you want this boy to live, I want you to give us a nice spot of land over on Jupiter. If not, I will kill him slowly and record it for all to enjoy over... and Over. You have ten hours."
The staff rambled on, mostly saying to let her kill him. Roxine did not enjoy that talk and shouted "LIKE HELL WE WILL! Division Five! We are going back in a suicide mission! Director, give us a drop ship." she shouted. The staff members seemed to hate her idea, saying it would provoke them to attack. The Director did nod at them.
"A suicide mission it will be. You three are to report to the loading bay this instant!" They saluted and rushed over to the docking bay, getting on and ready to rescue Travis.
The Pilot kept himself high off the ground as the troops enabled their Gungears. Roxine's armor looked closely like the Valkyrian, except the red paint job and her weapon was a shotgun with commando knife combo. The grenade strap carried stun and flash depending on the situation. Roland used his Gungear, the armor was blue and white, his visor had one side as a scanner. The Rifle he caried was both semi automatic and sniper in one. Zalgenis whipped out his Minigun Gungear, the armor was layers of high grade titanium, his visor showing death's eyes and instead of more strength, he was able t move on the fly with the four jets on his back.
"Okay guys, we bust in there and kill anyone who fires. Got it?!" Roxine commanded, ready to charge. Roland pulled his sniper up to his tracking eye, saying under his breath.
"Three guards. Three Shock shots. Air at 2 knots. X axis from head is 0.20 inches. Y Axis is dead center...and..." He clicked his trigger three times while aiming directly at their heads. All hit dead center and knocking out the guards.
"They do not call me the Lombardi for nothing." the chance was given to them. Roxine and Zalgenis rushed on towards the only entrance. Several troops came out and begun to fire upon them. Their Gungears were mostly hacked so they were nothing to them. Zalgenis started charging forward, their bullets deflecting off his armor. He used the back end of his minigun to smash one in the face, turning it around to mow down five more troops. Roxine's agility made it easier to dodge the shots, cutting off the barrels and shooting her shotgun into their chest for Zalgenis to finish off. But as this was happening, someone walked past it all, into the building and hunting down Travis.
Inside, Black Rose was battle ready, leaving Travis in the spare room. Before she closed the door she said "Wait for me dear, I promise that once your friends are dead, you will not die a virgin." she laughed at the remark. Travis felt like he made a mistake. He could never be like his sister...
"I was an idiot. While they are probably dying for no reason, I sit here with nothing left. I should of stayed on mars..." his current case of denial soon vanished when the ropes loosened. He looked behind and noticed the two little shoulder droids anywhere.
"O-OMEGA! Wha-" she put a hand over his mouth, shushing him. She explained quietly...
"I stowed away on the drop ship when I heard you were taken hostage. I used an invisibility droid to help sneak you out." She immediately used the device, guiding Travis through the makeshift halls and avoiding the battle taking place. Already Division Five looked to be holding out. The Mark troops were everywhere as they were organized. The drop ship pickup location was in reach. Suddenly, an EMP blast hit the ground near Omega and disabled her cloak. It was Black Rose!
"Where do you think you are taking my prize?" she fired another EMP at them, blasting Travis away from Omega. Black Rose used the electrocution collar to pin him on the ground. Omega struggled to get away from Rose, but she firmly grasped the back of her neck, pulling her up. She inspected the android struggling while hearing Travis cry out "LET HER GO!"
Rose smiled and laughed. "Hell no. This is the perfect opportunity to torture your soul and mind!" she tossed Omega on the ground, slammed her foot on the Android's back to keep her still and used her whip to wrap around her left leg.
"Watch as I make you both feel pain!" she started to pull the whip up, her leg being force up. The pain to her was real. Omega started to screech in pain while Rose's laughter fused with it. Travis tried to pull himself up, unable to even move once more.
"STOP IT!" the words reached Rose as she repeated "Rip it out? GOOD IDEA!" And with one swift pull, she tore off Omega's left leg. The circuits sparking and the wires exposed. Omega bleed oil from the wound. She continued to screech and cry in pain, Travis forced to watch. Omega found her chance and tried to crawl away. Rose pulled her back and turned her over to see her pain.
"Oh? The leg was the beginning, dear. Now for the next part!" she immediately wrapped the whip around her right arm, pulling up slowly. Omega's eyes squinted, the pain was already too much for her.
"Hmm... I think twisting it would feel better!" Rose commented, pulling up while twisting her arm from the socket. The wires snapping as the arm shot through the area. Omega's speech cords started to fizzle, her sobs cutting out every second. Travis finally stood up, and cried out "LEAVE OMEGA OUT OF THIS!" walking closer. Rose pulled out her long barreled pistol. The barrel was a good foot long, and aimed dead center of Omega's chest.
"Too late Travis. To show some sympathy, I will fire a special EMP bullet in here, letting her have some time left." the hammer was drawn back, the trigger fully pulled and the gunshot was loud enough for all to hear. Roxine shot at one of the Mark members, rushing over to the sound.
"MOVE IT MOVE IT!"
Rose chuckled, then laughed and soon hysterically laughed over her body. She twirled her whip, vanished from sight and let her laughter fade in the wind. Travis felt the collar fall off, nearly running to Omega's body. He picked her top half up, attempting to keep her awake. Roxine was first to see this, stunned and horrified as to what happened. Zalgenis and Roland were held back to watch and wait for the drop ship. Travis started to cry over her body, Omega using her reserve power to tell him her final words.
"I-i wan-nt to k-k-kk-eep helpin you. I wan-t-t-t to m-maek more foo...d." Her eyes fading, her body limped and she uttered "CRITIAL ERROR. ShUtting Down..."
Travis felt as if a part of him died. To him, Omega was more of a human. The drop ship finally made it, Roxine grabbed Travis and tossed him with Omega on it. He stood silent trough the trip back.
After they took Omega's beaten body to see what they could salvage, Travis walked back to his room. He decided to take a shower to get rid of the horrible stains and some oil splotches. He looked at the mirror to see his reflection. Shaking off the feeling, Travis stepped into the running water. The memories of OmegaV continued to run though his head. He rest his head against the tile of the shower wall, quietly sobbing.
"Omega... The three years you were with me felt like eternity."
But as this was happening, Black Rose returned to her base, removing her Gungear armor and stepping to her perch above the training grounds.
"You are all a disgrace! Not only did you let Travis go, but we lost ten good men! Viper, I expect better from you next time. Till then, TEN HOURS OF TRANING! NO STOP!" the troops groaned before going into a sparring tournament with each other. Rose turned and headed for her special room.
The room was nothing too brilliant. A Twin bed, a table with a single chair and a bathroom. She stripped herself down to the gauze top and midsection undergarment. Wasabi was called in the room to listen to her demands and pick up after her.
"Wasabi. I want you to upgrade the troops weapon system and give them more defense. Shields and all." Rose unwrapped her top part, revealing her small chest. Wasabi only bowed before darting off. Rose let her hair down, slipped off her last article of clothing before dipping in the bath.
"Ah. Now that is better. But still, that punk had the nerve to spit in my mouth... Even now I can taste his horrible throat. Travis Makar."
She dipped her head in up to her nose, thinking of a new plan to get rid of Travis and Gard.
